We have been a registered charity since 1996 and at our last Ofsted inspection we were delighted to achieve a result of Good . We employ highly-qualified and experienced staff, these valuable team members excel at providing a stimulating and nurturing environment for our children. An inspiring environment where children learn through play and have opportunities to develop new skills and ideas using continuous provision that is fully inclusive, both indoors and outdoors.

Our key objective is to provide the best stimulating, educational and caring environment that we can, thus ensuring that the children achieve their maximum potential whilst having massive amounts of fun whilst they are with us for their pre-school learning journey.

We hold our sessions both inside and out, enjoying the fresh air in our large well-equipped outdoor area. We also work in partnership with a local primary school to offer Forest School sessions. These are really popular with our children.

Members of our Pre-school team have been with us for many years, so we not only value and respect each other, but we demonstrate daily our ability to work together as a caring close-knit team. And not just to our children but with their parents too. If need be, we effectively communicate with families and with outside support groups and agencies to ensure that the very best assistance is acquired and delivered for the child concerned.

We are always striving to improve our Pre-school and were awarded in 2013 Step into Quality. Our Pre-school has an Inclusion/Equal Opportunities/Special Educational Needs Policy in force which is regularly updated.

We are committed to the inclusion of all children. It is our belief that children have the right to be cared for and educated to develop to their full potential through positive experiences. This enables them to share opportunities and experiences and develop and learn from each other.

Whitewell Bottom Pre-school operates a key person system. The role of your childs key person is very important to us while your child attends pre-school. The key person is responsible for ensuring that a good relationship is formed between your child, you and the key person. This helps your child to settle well into pre-school and feel happy, leading to excellent personal, social and emotional development within the setting.

We operate a PASSWORD system for your childs safety. The password must be used by any other person other than the parent/carer who will be picking your child up from pre-school.
